The cottages of Can Gat Vell, located in the village of Llampaies, in the heart of the Alt Emporda, are well connected by road, rail or plane.
They are just 2 kms from the exit of the AP-7 and 17km of the best beaches of the Costa Brava.
Do not forget also that locations like Cadaques, Port Lligat or the Cap de Creus is to approximately 56 km.
Llampaies (Saus, Camallera and Llampaies) is a small rural village of approx. 80 inhabitants, 2.5 km from Camallera where we will find all the services. We can see its Romanesque church of Sant Martí from the 12th century, the well-kept streets with their 17th-18th century houses. In Llampaies we have a health park with machines for doing sports, as well as a children’s park and the Empordà Equestrian Centre.

From the AP-7 motorway (BARCELONA – FRANCE)
Take exit number 5 – Scale. Once we left at km. 3 GI-623 Llampaies find. We turn right and follow the main street for 80 meters. On the right is the entrance to Can Gat Vell (the sculpture of a cat at the entrance).
From the Barcelona Airport and Girona-Costa Brava Airport
Barcelona airport is 125 km and Girona just 37 km.
In both cases, once we landed, the quickest way to get there is also road following the instructions in the “driving directions”.
We can also take the train commuter destination Portbou and get off at Camallera train station.
